What is IntriCakes known for?

IntriCakes is known for creating specialty cakes and one-of-a-kind designs tailored to your personality, taste, and style. We work with each client individually β€” matching details like the bride's bouquet, color palette, wedding dress, and overall theme β€” so every cake is personalized and unforgettable. Just let us know your theme, serving size, color palette, and any message you'd like on your cake.

How do I order a cake?

Visit our order page or email us directly at info@intricakes.com.

Please include the following when emailing:

  • Name
  • Date of event
  • Phone number
  • Name of venue / location of event
  • Type of inquiry
  • Approximate number of guests
  • Budget (cakes start at $10.00 pp)
  • Cake/dessert description

If you found a cake on social media you'd like recreated, send the photos to info@intricakes.com for a quote. Feel free to reference cakes from our gallery and let us know if you'd like sculpted toppers, figures, flowers, or other specific details.

How far in advance should I order my cake?

As soon as possible to ensure your preferred delivery date is available β€” 6–9 months for a wedding is ideal. We do accept last-minute orders depending on availability.

Can you recreate a cake from a picture? Does it cost extra?

We can try to recreate it to the best of our abilities. We prefer not to copy other cake artists' work 100% because it isn't personalized for our bride and groom. We can use the picture as inspiration and discuss further to create something more catered to your preferences. The final design determines the cost.

Can you offer design ideas based on my theme and budget?

Yes, definitely. We prefer clients provide inspiration β€” photos of cakes they liked, the wedding dress, color palettes, and/or wedding invitations β€” so we can personalize your wedding cake and make it one-of-a-kind.

How much do your cakes cost?

Our cakes start at $10.00 per serving and increase based on complexity of design, number of servings, tier sizes, and delivery location. Generally, our cakes average $1,500+.

Do you offer cake tastings?

Cake consultations/tastings are $65 and by appointment only. You may choose up to two flavors baked fresh for your tasting. If you move forward with us, the fee is applied to your total cake balance.

What are your cake consultation hours?

Available Monday – Thursday by appointment, 10am – 4pm, lasting about 1 hour. We may accommodate appointments outside these times based on availability.

What is the design process?

After your consultation, we'll have a clearer idea of your design concept. Once we receive your 50% deposit to reserve your date, we start sketching for you to choose from and tweak until the design is exactly how you envision it.

How much is the deposit and when is it due?

A 50% non-refundable deposit is due to reserve your date, prior to receiving the cake sketch.

When is the final payment due?

The balance must be paid one month prior to the delivery date.

Are there any additional fees?

Besides the cake/dessert price, delivery, and setup, there may be charges for cake stands and table linens if you'd like to rent them.

Will you preserve the top tier for my first anniversary?

We don't recommend saving the top tier β€” cake left in the freezer for a year becomes stale and develops freezer burn. Instead, give us a call to order a small anniversary cake at a discounted price.

How far in advance is the cake made?

All our cakes and desserts are made to order on the week of the event/wedding.

What are your delivery, setup fees, and table styling options?

Delivery starts at $65 and increases based on location. We deliver to:

  • Orange County
  • Riverside
  • Los Angeles
  • Long Beach
  • San Diego

We are only responsible for the cake itself and the board or stand it comes on. The florist decorates the cake table. If you'd like us to decorate and style the table, an additional $50 fee applies.

What if the cake is damaged in transit?

If an accident occurs during delivery and the cake is irreparable, we'll refund the full amount. Once the cake is delivered and we leave, we're no longer liable. If the cake is damaged after delivery, you may call us to see if we can fix it (to the best of our abilities) at no additional cost.

Do you have cake stands for rent?

Yes! Cake stands are subject to a $250 security deposit, refunded when all equipment is returned clean and undamaged within three days after the wedding. Deposit is forfeited if equipment isn't returned by the "Equipment Return Date" per your contract.

What is your refund/cancellation policy?

When we reserve a date for you, we refuse orders from other potential clients β€” so please give us at least six months in advance for wedding/special event cancellations. You forfeit the 50% non-refundable deposit, and any funds thereafter will be refunded. Rescheduling, postponement, cancellation, or breach of contract makes the retainer fee non-refundable. A change-of-date/reschedule penalty fee will be up to $250.

What happens with missed or forgotten pickups?

We'll attempt to contact you before we close. Your order will be available the following business day, but it's your responsibility to schedule pickup. Refunds aren't available since we've made every effort to ensure your order was made on time.

Are you insured?

Yes β€” you may request proof of insurance if required by your venue.

What is chamoy candy?

Chamoy candy is a sweet, tangy, and spicy treat made by coating your favorite candies in chamoy sauce, chili powder, and other flavorings. It's a flavor-packed bite β€” sweet, sour, and spicy all at once. Totally addicting!

Are you licensed and certified?

Absolutely! We are California Food Handler Safe & Certified, and we hold a valid Orange County Food License Permit. Every batch of chamoy candy is prepared in a fully permitted kitchen β€” so you can snack with confidence knowing it's made safely, cleanly, and with love.

How do I order chamoy candy?

All chamoy candy orders are placed directly through our website. Browse our menu, add your favorites to cart, and check out!

Are your chamoy candies handmade?

Yes! Every single bag is handmade fresh to order with love, spice, and a lil' extra drip πŸ’§

How do I pick up my order?

Pickup details (date, time, and exact pickup address) are confirmed at checkout and via email after your order is placed. Please save the pickup address sent in your confirmation email.

What's the Candy Vault?

The Candy Vault is our secure locker pickup system. One hour before your pickup window, you'll receive an email with your locker number, access code, and unlock instructions. Easy, contactless, and convenient!

Can I customize my candy mix?

Due to the high volume of orders, we're not able to accept customizations at this time. For special circumstances or larger event inquiries, feel free to email us at hello@thechamoycandylady.com and we'll do our best to help.

How spicy is it?

Our chamoy has a signature sweet-tangy-spicy balance β€” flavorful but not overwhelming. If you'd like extra heat or less spice, just let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate.

How should I store my chamoy candy?

Store in a cool, dry place and seal the bag tightly between snacking. For maximum freshness, enjoy within 2 weeks of pickup.

How long does the candy stay fresh?

Chamoy candy is best enjoyed within 2 weeks of pickup and opening. After that, the texture and flavor may change.

Do you ship chamoy candy?

At this time, we offer shipping in California only and local pickup in Orange County, CA. Sign up for our email list to be the first to know if shipping becomes available!

What's the VIP list?

VIPs unlock the vault first. Exclusive access codes are sent by email before each public drop. If you're not on the VIP list yet, you should fix that before the next drop! Sign up on our homepage.

Do you offer refunds or exchanges?

Because all candy is handmade fresh to order, we do not offer refunds or exchanges. If there's an issue with your order, please email hello@thechamoycandylady.com within 24 hours of pickup and we'll do our best to make it right.

What if I miss my pickup?

We'll do our best to contact you. Orders not picked up within the scheduled window may be available the following business day, but you're responsible for rescheduling. Unfortunately, missed pickups are not eligible for refunds.

Are there any allergens I should know about?

Our candy mixes are made in a kitchen that handles nuts, dairy, soy, wheat, and other allergens. If you have a serious allergy, please check ingredients carefully and reach out with any questions before ordering.
